The Tiger (Panthera tigris), a member of the Felidae family, is the largest of the big cats and one of the most revered and loved animals. reaching up to 3.3 metres (11 ft) in total length, weighing up to 300 kilograms (660 pounds), and having canine teeth up to 4 inches (100 mm) long. There are nine recent subspecies of tiger, three of which are extinct. The royal Bengal Tiger, Indochinese Tiger, Malayan Tiger, Sumatran Tiger, Siberian Tiger, and the South China Tiger are all endangered. Some critically so. There are less than 3500 tigers left in the wild. The Bali Tiger, Caspian Tiger, and Javan Tiger are all extinct. These are only the pictures of orange tigers.
