The Giant Panda (Ailuropoda melanoleuca) is native to china, and easily recognised by its distinctive black and white coat. They are endangered and concidered threatened due to habitate loss and a low birth rate.. There are less than 3000 living in the wild, and only a few hundred in captivity. Pandas are one of the most recognised and loved animal species on the planet.
